STUDIO FAQs

Where are you located?

We’re down an alleyway on Kitchener Road, right behind the Diamond Convenience Store off Phillp Lane.

Do I need prior Pilates experience to do a class with you?

No prior experience is necessary to try our classes, but we do recommend starting with a beginner for your first time. Our instructors are trained to guide beginners through the basics of using the reformer machine and performing exercises safely and effectively.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. If you are wearing baggy tees or wide leg pants (which we love too) be mindful they may catch the reformer's springs or mechanisms. General recommendation is to wear form-fitting clothing — this also helps teachers give feedback on alignment which will help improve your foundation!

Grip or “sticky” socks are recommended to provide traction and stability on the reformer's foot bar.

Do I need to bring anything to class?

You’ll be provided with all necessary equipment for your session, but you may want to bring a water bottle and a gym towel on hotter days!

Are classes suitable if I have an injury or medical condition?

Our classes can be modified to accommodate various fitness levels, injuries, and medical conditions. It's essential to inform your instructor about any health concerns before starting a class so that they can provide appropriate modifications and guidance.

Will it help with back pain or postural issues?

Yes, reformer pilates is often recommended for individuals with back pain, postural imbalances, or those seeking to improve their posture. The exercises focus on strengthening the core muscles that support the spine, enhancing spinal alignment, and promoting overall body awareness.

How often should I attend classes?

The frequency of classes depends on your fitness goals and schedule. Many clients find benefits from attending 2-3 reformer classes per week, but even one class a week can yield noticeable improvements over time.

Can I bring my baby to postnatal classes?

At this stage we are unable to accommodate babies and children in the studio during postnatal classes.

Are private sessions available to book?

Yes, however online bookings for private or semi-private sessions are not available at this stage. If you’re wanting to book a private class with one of our instructors, check in with our reception or email us and we should be able to accommodate you.

Do you have showering facilities?

No, we currently don’t have any showers — but we do have two changing rooms and a bathroom.

What's your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is 8 hours. If you cancel before this time, your account will be credited for use at another time.

Are late cancellations charged?

If you cancel any later than our 8 hour window, your class credit will not be re-credited.

*For each class pack purchased, we have a grace period of 1 class that can be cancelled within this window.
